Take the Victory Heights Community Survey

There are currently two surveys floating around the interwebs of interest to residents of Victory Heights.  The first is being conducted by Seattle University for the North Precinct of the SPD about public safety.  They say, “The purpose of the survey is to solicit feedback on public safety and security concerns from those who live and/or work in Seattle. A report on the survey results will be provided to the Seattle Police Department to assist them with making your neighborhood safer and more secure.” It takes about 20 minutes to fill it out, and you have until November 30th. Find it here.
We also learned at October’s meeting of the Victory Heights Community Council (full meeting minutes here) that our new Vice President Monica Harris is doing a survey just for Victory Heights and what people want from our community and the council. If you live in Victory Heights, please take a few moments to fill out this quick survey (only 7 questions!) so we may serve you better.  You’ll find that survey here.
In other news, we might put on a raffle with the prize being a locking mailbox that would be installed for you.  We’re also still looking for a few good men and women who’d like to sit on the community council board.  Drop us a line if you are interested.
After the meeting, we toured the police department’s noisy but very cool “mobile precinct” that they parked next to the park.
The next meeting of the community council will be November 15th at 7 PM in the co-op preschool building in the park.
