November Events Calendar

Here are things in and around Victory Heights during the month of November:
Saturday, November 5th & Sunday the 6th: 3D Printer Workshop. The Seattle Public Library will offer two-day workshops on 3D printing basics in November. Attendees will learn how to design 3D models from prototype to final product, and then send their models off to be printed—all for free. 1 PM – 5 PM both days at the Lake City Library. Registration required.
Tuesday, November 8th: Election Day! Get those ballots post-marked by today.
Saturday, November 12th: Emergency Preparedness Table-Top Exercise.  With a communications HUB coming to Victory Heights soon, we thought a practice might help get volunteers ready.  You will be giving scenarios and then attempt to match with resources.  All this will be done in the warmth and light inside at the Northgate Library, 10548 5th Avenue NE, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Tuesday, November 15th: Victory Heights Community Council Meeting.  Find out how our online survey is going, and the fate of the North District Council. Maybe a speaker too! 7 PM at the co-op preschool building in Victory Heights Park.
Saturday, November 19th: Emergency Preparedness Table-Top Exercise. Miss the event on the 12th (see above)? Here’s a second chance to participate.  Northgate Library, 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Saturday, November 19th: Idris Mosque Potluck. Visit the mosque and share some great food. 5 PM, 1420 NE Northgate Way.
Thursday, November 24th: Thanksgiving.  As usual, if Thursday is your usual trash day, it will be moved to Friday again this year.
Friday, December 2nd, Winter Carnival. “Games, Food, Santa, Entertainment & Tree Lighting, International Food Competition” 6 PM – 9 PM, Lake City Community Center, 12531 28th Avenue NE
