Tuesday, October 1st: NHL Team Open House. In two years, the new Seattle NHL franchise will have its practice facility at the southeast corner of Northgate Mall. Team representatives will be available from 5 PM – 7 PM at the Mall’s food court to show plans, answer questions, and give out prizes.
Tuesday, October 8th: Earthquake Preparedness Workshop. We spend a THIRD of our lives in bed; make sure you and your loved ones are safe when asleep. Do you know what to do first? Next? Saturday & Sunday, October 12 & 13. Arts North! Studio Tour. A self-guided tour that this year includes 10 studios and 27 artists from 10am-5pm. This is the largest studio tour in north Seattle. Enjoy the opportunity to see a wide variety of arts and crafts, chat with the artists, sample appetizers and sweets. FREE. Maps available at all studios and online at www.artsnorthstudiotour.com
Tuesday, October 15th: Victory Heights Community Council Meeting. Meet your neighbors and get the low-down on what’s going on in our area. 7 PM – 8 PM, co-op preschool building in Victory Heights Park.
Thursday, October 17th: Thornton Creek Alliance Meeting. New one-acre park coming to Lake City! Come to our public meeting and hear the story of how our community and public agencies worked together to purchase this key property in the Thornton Creek floodplain along NE 125th St. in Lake City. 6:30 PM – 8 PM, Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, 10005 32nd Avenue NE
Tuesday, October 29th: ReVisioning Northgate. Various stakeholders discuss how the Northgate mall/transit center will be changing. 6:30 PM – 8 PM, Harbor Room, Northaven Senior Living, 11045 8th Ave NE, across from the post office.
