Last night’s meeting of the Victory Heights Community Council announced a May Day Celebration to be held on Sunday, May 1st. This free event will be fun for all ages.

Starting at 10 AM until noon, gather at Ann’s house across the park at 10540 19th Avenue NE and assemble quick and easy paper May Day baskets (all materials provided). Then they can be filled with flowers and hung on neighbors’ doors. Rain or shine (we’ll be inside), it’s a great activity for the kids and a way to meet neighbors. For more info, write the blog.
Other upcoming events include an ice cream social in July (formerly the Neighborhood Night Out) and possibly a movie night in the park (if we can work out the details).
